Workspace view

View of the workshop in April 2024. At the time, I was working on the « Adornos » installation.
Composed of raw clay beads that become the negative of the hand, this project is the fruit of repeated relentless gestures. The work with pearls began with a reflection on the Tullmas, a Bolivian ornament braided into the hair. Part of the attributes of the Chola, whose dress is a strong marker of identity. I then questioned the origins, history and relationship of sculptural elements to the body. The idea was to establish a relationship of forces between apparently robust but fragile elements through well-defined and mathematical assembly systems.
