Maria Saygua André
Maria Saygua André (Bolivia, 1996) is a Franco-Bolivian textile artist and sculptor. She lives and works in Brussels.
During the Advanced Textiel Program à Textiel Museum in Tilburg, mentored by Otobong Nkanga, during which I confronted my manual approach to textiles with industrial textile practices, accompanied by experts: curators, theoreticians and professionals from the textile sector. This experience now enables me to move back and forth between my manual approach to textiles and new technologies in the sector.
